Twenty alleged drug traffickers linked to Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb have been charged with moving cocaine through Mauritania with the aid of the terrorist group. The men were caught along the Mali border after a gun battle with the army. The lead suspect thought to be responsible for the Spanish aid workers' abductions in November has been charged in court.
