After a recent defector from the Islamic State claimed that the group has sleeper cells waiting for instruction in European countries, including Sweden, the state security service Säpo said it is concerned and is exchanging information on the group with other countries. Three Swedish fighters with the Islamic State, all of Somali origin, were killed in Syria on Nov. 9; about six or seven Swedes are said to leave Sweden for Syria every week. The Islamic Association of Sweden said it is "shocked" that the United Arab Emirates has labeled it a terrorist organization.
