The Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic Front clashed with regime forces in Aleppo, where the rebel Badr Martyrs' Battalion was accused of torturing civilians and killing 50 by shelling residential neighborhoods; in Hama; in Homs, where a suicide truck bomb killed at least 10 people in an Alawite town; in Quneitra; and in Reef Dimashq, where an Al Nusrah emir was killed. In Deraa, an Al Nusrah fighter was killed by a barrel bombing. The Islamic Front also battled regime forces in Damascus and in Idlib. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham clashed with Al Nusrah and the Islamic Front in Deir Izzour, where an Al Nusrah deputy emir was killed. ISIS released the first issue of its English-language news magazine. The Syrian National Coalition claimed that the Assad regime was planning to target voters and polling stations with "a series of bombings."
