Authorities have remanded into custody wanted terrorist Syed Kirmani, following his arrest on arrival in Hyderabad from an unidentified Gulf country on May 5; he is suspected of involvement in the 2003 'ISI conspiracy' violence. Kirmani and his associate, Maulana Abdul Qavi, who was arrested in March, are allegedly linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.
