During a raid near Arsal, security forces arrested wanted Palestinian terrorist Bilal Kayed, an Abdullah Azzam Brigades operative linked to the 2007 murder of Spanish peacekeepers in south Lebanon as well as other murders, bombings, and weapons crimes. A military judge called for the death penalty for six Palestinian gang members from the Ain al-Hilweh camp, including Bilal Badr, who are wanted on terrorism charges. Israeli forces released five Lebanese shepherds, including three women, detained earlier in the Shebaa Farms area. New imagery suggests that an Israeli strike on Feb. 24 targeted a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in the Bekaa valley.
