Seven rockets fired from Syria hit the Hezbollah-dominated town of Bital; the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham claimed to have fired three of them. Syrian military rockets hit near Arsal, killing a boy and a young woman and wounding five others. Salafist leaders in Tripoli are fearing a crackdown by Lebanese authorities after recent arrests and the reported involvement of Sheikh Husam al-Sabbagh, a suspected al Qaeda member, in suicide car bombings in Lebanon. The army identified the suspected terror financier arrested last week as Omar Juenieh a.k.a. Omar al-Homsi, the director of an Islamic charity that aids Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Indictments were issued for 57 people on charges including murder for their roles during clashes in Abra in July 2013; among those indicted are Salafist Sheikh Ahmad Assir and former pop singer Fadl Shaker, who remain at large.
