The US added Said Ahmad Sungkar and Afif Abdul Majid to its terrorism blacklist for their activities with the al Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiyah and Jemaah Anshorut Tauhid, and said the two terrorist groups pose significant threats. The embassies of the US, UK, and Australia issued warnings that Islamist extremists may attack the Miss World competition; street protests by Islamists have already forced the event to move to Hindu-majority Bali. The Constitutional Court rejected a challenge to Indonesia's blasphemy laws from five plaintiffs, including a man charged with insulting Islam in a Facebook post, and a Shia leader who allegedly raised questions about the Koran.
