The Al Nusrah Front, the Ahrar al Sham, and the Free Syrian Army's Sahaba Battalions are leading a rebel offensive in southwest Damascus. A car bomb detonated in Damascus, killing at least seven civilians. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant detained two teenagers in Raqqah. The ISIL, Al Nusrah, and rebels continued to clash with Kurdish YPG forces in Hasakah. Four armed battalions in Aleppo reportedly agreed to fight ISIL if it does not adhere to an agreement over Azaz city. A French jihadist was killed while fighting regime forces near Aleppo airport. A Spanish magazine confirmed that one of its journalists has been held captive by a rebel group in Syria since Sept. 4, when his car was stopped by jihadists in Hama. A jihadist forum last week called for journalists in Syria to be captured and searched. Reporters Without Borders says 13 foreign journalists are now in captivity or missing in Syria. Al Nusrah claimed a Sept. 11 attack in Deir Izzor and a Sept. 12 raid in Deraa.
