The military said it was giving the nation's political forces 48 hours to solve their issues or the military will create a new roadmap. The Tamarod movement threatened to launch a campaign of civil disobedience if President Morsi does not step down within a day. The Muslim Brotherhood said it is considering deploying self-defense units after its headquarters was attacked overnight. Security forces arrested 15 armed bodyguards of Brotherhood strongman Khairat al Shater. Four cabinet ministers tendered their resignations a day after massive anti-Morsi protests swept the country. The Army reportedly deployed tanks along the Egypt-Gaza border.
