The US military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay found Ali Hamza al Bahlul guilty of 35 counts of conspiracy, solicitation to commit murder, and providing material support to terrorism. Bahlul was al Qaeda's media chief and arranged for Mohammed Atta, the Sept. 11 tactical commander, to swear allegiance to Osama bin Laden. The prosecutor has requested life in prison.
