ISIS launches 3 more suicide attacks against Iraqi security forces

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham (or Levant) executed three more suicide attacks against Iraqi security forces today. One took place in the western province of Anbar, another occurred in Mosul in the northern province of Ninewa, and yet another was in Jurf al-Sakhar, just south of Baghdad. From Reuters:

In the town of Rutba, 360 km (225 miles) west of Baghdad, a suicide bomber driving a car packed with explosives blew himself up near a police checkpoint killing at least five, while gunmen launched a series of attacks against police checkpoints in the town killing at least four, police sources said.

In the west of Ramadi, gunmen in vehicles attacked police and army checkpoints along the main highway that links Baghdad to Jordan and Syria, killing at least seven, police said, adding that clashes were still continuing.

A suicide bomber driving a tanker truck packed with explosives attacked a police checkpoint in the town of Jurf al-Sakhar, about 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, killing four, police sources said.

In a separate incident in Mosul, a suicide bomber driving a vehicle packed with explosives detonated the car near a military checkpoint in the south of the city, killing at least two, police and medical sources said.

Since Oct. 1, the ISIS has used at least 25 suicide bombers in Iraq, according to a count by The Long War Journal. Eight of those were used in an attack yesterday in Fallujah in Anbar province. As stated yesterday and the day prior, the ISIS has not had difficulty in recruiting and deploying suicide bombers in either Iraq or Syria.

I am interessed in the situation in Iraq since the 90s and I admit that what takes place there at present escapes me totally. I have difficulty in understanding who is against whom and if a day this Arab Country which was as well modernist as Tunisia will manage to stabilize.
