The founders of two of South Asia’s largest terror groups held a large rally in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore today. From Reuters:
About 30,000 Islamists staged a protest on Sunday to condemn the United States and show support for Pakistan’s military, which has reasserted itself after a cross-border NATO attack and a controversial memo that has weakened the civilian government.
Speakers included Hafiz Saeed, a fiercely anti-American cleric suspected of links to the group blamed for the 2008 militant rampage in the Indian city of Mumbai that killed 166 people.
Also at the podium was Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, known as the father of the Afghan Taliban, who are fighting U.S.-led NATO forces across the border in Afghanistan.
The large number of black-and-white banners of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa seen in the photograph shows that the terror group, which is merely a front for Hafiz Saeed’s Lashkar-e-Taiba, dominates the rally.
It should come as no surprise that the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, which was created with the support and encouragement of the Pakistani military, backs said military.

and if the US had any real intention of ever winning this interminable WOT, they would have bombed this meeting all day long. What a perfect opportunity to do some mass casualty retaliation, similar in vein to what these terrorists plot themselves. why not plant several bombs and detonate them at the height of the blabbering? I guess I just don’t get ROE. I always thought the objective of war was to win!
We need to stop paying our enemy to fight against us. No more aid to Pakistan Period.
The Pakistan Army never support and encourage any Organization including the terror group. NATO attacked a Pakistani army post, killing 24 Pakistani soldiers is also a US shameless act.The United states must apologies. United states do more for the terrorism instead of blaming to Pakistan.

Qadeer, perhaps you should ask the Indian border guards on the Kashmir border. The Pak Rangers shelling of Indian border posts to divert attention to incursion by groups like the LeT make your assertments laughable.

They can get used to walking because that is their future when natural gas and gasoline supplies dwindle because we stop our aid. The PakMil will soon have to decide whether they keep playing dangerously to their base, who they whip up whenever they are cornered, or do they go back to stretching out their hands for more aid and cooperating nicely. But, like the boy who cried wolf too many time, this may finally be the last straw for us.
Q Ahmed: The Pakistan Taliban has killed a lot more than 24 troops. Where was the fury then? India wiped out the Northern Light Infantry at Kargil, and Pakistan even refused to accept their dead soldiers in order to continue the pretense that these were mujaheddin. Where was the public fury then? This manufactured anger is whipped up by Messrs Kayani and Pasha in order to cover their behinds and stay on top of the gravy train that is Pakistan’s military-industrial complex.

Right-to-assemble; it’s an American tradition and, incidentally, I don’t see any fires or shooting in the photo which would call for a law enforcement response. I prefer the red, white, and blue to Islamic green but, hey, they’re Pakistanis. What exactly did the speakers say? Let me guess: they blame us (because we blame them.)

Not to mention that the Pakistan Army liasons told our troops Pakistan had NO troops in the area. Thats why we bombed them. If they had said, they had troops there, we would not have done it.

“Jayc” First off, there are no ranger deployed on the borders, its the army. Secondly, go and look for the statements by the Indian army officers to straighten your indoctrinated bias approach. And if not , please have a look at the video for what Indian Army is doing to Kashmiris just because they are Muslims, and then relating them to LeT.

Kargil is a debatable issue, lets not get into that over here. And blaming and connecting everything back to Kargil may seem very haughty, but lets not forget the 1965 war then where Indians were the culprits and had it in their face, or for that matter the Indian troops involvement in East Pakistan(Bangladesh) in disintegrating Pakistan in 1971, and plotting the intelligence game of RAW back then and even now can not be denied.
As of today, there are hundreds of RAW operatives/ spies present in Pakistan, in particular Balochistan, and the same strategy of that of 1971 is being implemented.
Publicizing one side doesn’t mean that you have your intelligence and Army to fix electric wires or to deliver Milk at doorsteps every morning. Indian Army has been extremely ruthless and brutal with Kashmiri Muslims, the Occupation of the Kashmiri land by Indian troops is not something out of charity its the mere desire to stretch the borders.
Just have a look at the video link posted below, you understand Hindi right? i am sure you can figure out what these Indian troops are saying before killing the kashmiri trapped under the rebel.

Pakistan has a victim complex they can’t seem to accept that there is a lot wrong with their country and Government, always these kneejeerk reactions, burning effigies etc, it is laughable if it wasn’t such a pathetic display of of blind ignorance to real problems that face that nation; extremely weak and corrupt government, an unaccountable spy agency and army, a populus which on the whole lacks education and religious hatred spurned on by Emirs and Mullahs to further their own political and religious goals.
People such as Q Ahmed are a great example of people unable to see the failings of their country and society due to blind loyalty and propaganda of groups such as the LeT. It is easier to hate the US than solve your problems, you forget nearly every developed western nation on Earth has a hand in ISAF and Nato, it is not just the US that thinks the Pak regime is a mess whose only method to protect their sovereignty is to blockade peaceful supply convoys within their own borders. The US has demonstrated your army cannot watch over its borders and thus protect its people despite all their bravado and being one of the largest in the world.
JUD always used this type of rallies to rail against India and Israel and now they have added USA.Talk filth against Israel and USA but kill Indians was the sermon of US interlocutors.
I agree with some of the previous comments: We should be dropping an ungodly amount of napalm on these demonstrations. These people are at war with America. They want to kill every American they can find anywhere. Freedom of assembly? Let their own government guarantee that! We will guarantee it for our own people! Bombs away I say!

The Lashkar-e-Taiba is a Pakistani ISI terrorist act, whose puppet leader is Hafiz Saeed. Hafiz relies on the Pakistani ISI and follows what the ISI does. Islamic terrorists like the Lashkar have murdered Kashmiri civilians in the Kashmir Valley, even to the extent of murdering moderate religious figures, plus ethnic minorities such as Sikhs and Pandits (Kashmiri Hindus). They’ve also committed terrorist acts in cities such as Mumbai and Delhi. Pakistan will never prosper, if they continue training islamic terrorists, who want to cause trouble across borders in Afghanistan and India. No wonder Pakistan’s economy is in trouble and are begging India and the west for favourable trade and money agreements.
