The Yemeni air force killed 30 of its own soldiers in a strike outside of Zinjibar. The soldiers were from the 119th Brigade, which is said to support forces opposing President Saleh’s regime.

AQAP releases 7th edition of Inspire

The seventh edition of Inspire celebrates the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, as well as a number of other attacks. The magazine uses a photo of New York’s Grand Central Station to promote a future article by Anwar al Awlaki.

Anti-government tribes took control of a Republican Guard base north of Sana’a. A general and several soldiers were killed, and tanks and other weapons were also seized.
