Shootings kill seven in restive Thai south
Seven Muslim insurgents were killed and four soldiers were wounded in a series of clashes in the southern province of Yala. Train service in the South has been suspended after terrorists boarded trains and murdered three railway workers and a policeman on June 21.
Four Rangers were wounded in an IED attack in Pattani province. Two soldiers were wounded in a separate IED attack in Pattani. A former solider was killed in a shooting in Narathiwat province. A Muslim man was killed in a shooting at a rubber plantation in Yala province.
