Saudi security forces arrested 11 members of al Qaeda in Saudi Arabia, including one member involved in the 2006 Abqaiq oil facility attack. The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan visited the Taliban supporting Lal Masjid in Islamabad.

King Abdullah referred to the U.S. mission in Iraq as an “illegitimate foreign occupation” during an address to the Arab summit. Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi, a Saudi al Qaeda member denied he helped finance the 9-11 plot.

Saudi security forces arrested an unknown number of suspects in the murder of French tourists last week. Two suspects are sought. There is no word if those arrested are associated with al Qaeda.
