Taliban suicide bombers killed 20 people and wounded more than 100 in dual attacks in Peshawar and Bannu cities. Twenty Taliban fighters surrendered in Swat. The Taliban demanded that captive leaders be released in exchange for a kidnapped Greek aid worker.
Twenty Pakistanis, including police oficers, were killed in attacks in Peshawar and Bannu.
Security forces killed 10 Taliban fighters in North Waziristan. In Swat, 13 Taliban fighters were captured and 57 more surrendered. Five terror suspects were detained in Dera Ghazi Khan. The Taliban wounded a lashkar fighter in Bajaur.

A US airstrike killed eight Haqqani Network fighters in an attack in North Waziristan. The Taliban killed seven pro-government tribal leaders during an attack in Bannu. The military killed eight Taliban fighters in Malakand and detained three more in Hangu.
Eight people have been reported killed in the latest US strike in Pakistan’s tribal areas. The attack targeted a compound run by Ahmad Haqqani, one of Jalaluddin Haqqani’s sons.

Security forces detained Abu Faraj, a Taliban commander who was behind suicide attacks in Swat. Faraj was wounded by soldiers before he was captured in Swat. Police killed one suicide bomber in Buner; two others escaped. The suicide bomber was planning to assassinate the provincial education minister.
Hafiz Saeed is placed under house arrest in Lahore for the second time in 10 months. Police filed charges against Saeed for preaching jihad and raising funds for terror activities just days ago.
