Security forces killed 11 Taliban fighters in Arakzai. Twelve Afghans with bullet wounds were detained in Lahore. The foreign minister claimed that many of the Taliban’s top leaders have fled the country.

Security forces killed 44 Taliban fighters in Arakzai. Twenty-one people have been killed in fighting between the Lashkar-e-Islam and the Taliban in Khyber. Bajaur tribal elders vowed to support the government against the Taliban.

Security forces killed 25 Taliban fighters in airstrikes in Arakzai. Eight people were killed in Khyber during clashes between the Lashkar-e-Islam and the Taliban. Twenty-five Taliban fighters surrendered in Bajaur.

The Wazir tribe said it would expel the Mehsuds from the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan from their tribal regions in South Waziristan. The Taliban beheaded a 70-year-old Afghan man for “spying” and executed another tribesman in North Waziristan. Police detained two Taliban fighters in Nowshera.

An al Qaeda operative and a Taliban commander were killed in the May 28 Predator strike in South Waziristan. Police killed a Jashkar-e-Jhangvi fighter and detained three more during a bank robbery in Karachi. An Anti-Terrorism Court acquitted four terrorist suspects. Clerics denied that terrorist groups are based in Punjab.

The military killed 12 Taliban fighters in Arakzai. Local officials in Arakzai said half of the agency is still under Taliban control despite the military’s announcement that the operation was over. Two people were wounded in a Taliban attack on a NATO fuel tanker in Sibi.
