Police arrested nine members of Jemaah Islamiyah who were plotting to conduct terror attacks in Jakarta and on Sumatra Island. The men were associated with terror master Noordin Top. Jemaah Islamiyah leaders Abu Dujana and Zarkasih were sentenced to 15 years in prison each after being found guilty of assisting terrorists and possessing, storing, and moving weapons destined for terror acts. Abu Dujana served as military commander while Zarkasih served as the group’s leader while Abu Bakar Bashir was in jail.
