Rioting has broken out in Tehran after supporters of Mir Hossein Mousavi took to the streets to protest what they called rigged elections. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iranians should acknowledge President Ahmadinejad’s landslide victory, which he termed a “divine assessment.” There are rumors Mousavi has been arrested.

Interior Minister Sadeq Mahsouli said that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the presidential election in a landslide with more than 62 percent of the vote. Westerners said the vote was rigged by Iran’s mullahs.
IRNA, Iran’s state-run news agency, said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is leading the presidential election with 66 percent of the vote, with more than 68 percent of the votes counted so far. Mir Hossein Moussavi, the so-called reform candidate, has 31 percent of the vote.
Mullah Mustafa spoke to the press. Fighting intensifies in Farah and Badghis provinces. An al Qaeda trainer was reported killed in Farah.
Mullah Mustafa and sixteen of his followers were killed in an airstrike in Ghor province. Mustafa had links to Iran’s Qods Force, which still continues to support the Taliban.
