Jabir Jubran al Fayfi, a former Gitmo detainee who fought in Afghanistan and Kashmir, has been arrested in Yemen. Along with other former Gitmo detainees, al Fayfi joined al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Pakistani Taliban threaten more suicide attacks
The Pakistani Taliban took credit for yesterday’s suicide attack in Lakki Marwat that killed in 10 civilians and nine policemen, and said the attacks were to avenge US Predator strikes. “We will continue suicide attacks on security forces,” spokesman Azam Tariq said. “Civilians should avoid proximity with them.”
The strike is the fourth in four days. Three of those strikes have taken place in the al Qaeda hub of Datta Khel.
