The Islamic Front and the Al Nusrah Front seized the Kasab crossing into Turkey. Rebels are also advancing in Idlib, Aleppo, and parts of Hama. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham clashed with Kurdish PYG and Jabhat Al-Akrad forces in Raqqah. In Deir Izzour, ISIS fought against the Islamic Front in a salt mine, and a 20-year-old woman was executed. Al Nusrah and the Islamic Front also battled regime forces in Homs and in Aleppo. The Islamic Front blew up a building inhabited by Shiites in Idlib. The UN blamed both the regime and rebels for the “extremely challenging” conditions hindering the delivery of aid. Eleven officials of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb’s Central Region issued a statement greeting the emirs of the ISIS and Al Nusrah and urging an end to fighting against ISIS “and the emigrants.”
