Prime Minister Tammam Salam announced the formation of a 24-member Cabinet, after 10 months of negotiations. Former prime minister Saad Hariri said Hezbollah’s participation in the Syrian conflict is sabotaging ties between Sunnis and Shiites in Lebanon and reiterated his call for Hezbollah to withdraw from Syria.
