The trial of 20 suspects in the Sept. 14, 2012 attack on the US Embassy in Tunis opened today. In individual questioning, each suspect denied taking part in the crime; nine suspects are being held in custody. The government has accused the head of Tunisia’s Ansara al Sharia, Saif Allah Bin Hussein, a.k.a. Abu Iyadh, of orchestrating the embassy attack; he and other Ansar al Sharia leaders have not been tried.
