Two bombs detonated 15 minutes apart near a police station on the outskirts of Makhachkala, Dagestan’s capital, killing 20 people and injuring 30 more. The first bomb went off after police stopped a vehicle at a checkpoint. Islamist insurgents are suspected in the blasts.
