Security forces killed and captured several Taliban commanders and fighters in Helmand, Zabul, Paktia, and Nangarhar, and detained a suicide bomber in Herat. Afghan special forces killed two Taliban leaders and 14 fighters while attempting to retake Kamdesh district in Nuristan.
