Two Somali women from Minnesota, Amina Farah Ali and Hawo Mohamed Hassan, both US citizens, solicited money for Shabaab under the guise of charitable activity, according to wiretapped phone conversations presented at their trial on terror charges. Ali was recorded as saying, “Let the civilians die,” and “Let’s forget about the other charities — how about the jihad?”
