The Taliban killed three civilians and two soldiers in a suicide attack in Badghis and five Afghan soldiers in an IED attack in Herat. Security forces killed and captured several Taliban commanders and fighters in Helmand, Zabul, Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Nangarhar, and Baghlan.
