Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb

Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb claimed it carried out the July 5 raid on the military barracks in the town of Bassiknou in Mauritania. The group claimed only two of its fighters were killed, and denied government reports that five of its fighters were killed and 15 were captured, SITE reported.
