Afghanistan

Security forces killed and captured several Taliban commanders and fighters in Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, Wardak, Khost, Paktika, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Baghlan, Jawzjan, and Sar-i-Pul. The Taliban killed two ISAF soldiers in the south. Thirty-five Taliban fighters reconciled in Balkh.
