Afghanistan

President Karzai called for an end to NATO operations. Security forces killed and captured several Taliban, Haqqani Network, Hizb-i-Islami Khalis, and Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan commanders and fighters in Helmand, Nangarhar, Khost, and Baghlan. The Taliban killed an ISAF soldier in the east. Pakistani troops killed an Afghan civilian in a cross-border attack in the east.
