In an audiotape sent to Al Jazeera, Osama bin Laden threatened to kill French hostages in Niger if France did not withdraw from Afghanistan. “President Nicolas Sarkozy’s refusal to remove his forces from Afghanistan is nothing but a green light for killing the French hostages,” he said.
