Security forces killed and captured scores of Taliban and Haqqani Network commanders and fighters in Kandahar, Helmand, Khost, Paktia, and Logar. Three Taliban fighters and two policemen were killed during clashes in Kunduz. The Taliban killed four civilians in Khost and two ISAF soldiers in the south.
