Coalition forces killed the Taliban’s top military leader in northern Helmand and 10 other fighters in an airstrike on Nov. 20. Security forces killed and captured several Taliban and Haqqani Network commanders and fighters in Helmand, Khost, Paktia, and Logar. The Taliban killed five village elders in Faryab and an ISAF soldier in the south. In Baghlan, 90 Taliban fighters surrendered.
