The Taliban killed the governor of Kunduz and 14 others in a bombing at a mosque in Takhar. Combined forces also killed and captured several Taliban members in Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, Khost, Logar, and Wardak. The Taliban killed a British soldier and two ISAF soldiers in the south, and a tribal elder in Farah.
