Insurgents killed seven Iraqi policemen in separate attacks in Mosul. Security forces detained 50 suspects in Karbala, 21 wanted men in Kirkuk, and 10 more in Basrah. More than 30,000 security personnel have been deployed for a pilgrimage in Karbala.
