Al Qaeda in Iraq’s former finance minister, interior minister, and justice minister escaped from a prison in Baghdad. Coalition forces killed an al Qaeda operative and detained 13 more during raids in Sulayman Bak, Mansuriyah, and Qaryat ar Rufush; also detained were a Naqshabandiya leader near Baqubah and three insurgents in Al Kut. Insurgents killed two policemen in Mosul.
