Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb

Abu Musab Abdulwadud, the head of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, said his terror group executed French hostage Michel Germaneau to avenge a raid by French commandos and Mautanian forces in Mali. “As a quick response to the despicable French act, we confirm that we have killed hostage Germaneau in revenge for our six brothers who were killed in the treacherous operation,” Abdulwadud said in a audiotape.
