The Taliban have taken control of a district in Nuristan. US and Afghan forces killed the Taliban’s shadow governor of Baghlan and 11 fighters. A suicide bomber killed only himself in a failed attack in Kabul. The US admitted the military made errors that led to the deaths of 23 civilians in Uruzgan in February 2010.
