ISAF forces have completed the withdrawal from the Korengal Valley in Kunar province as part of “the requirements of the new population-centric counterinsurgency strategy.” Coalition and Afghan forces detained an undisclosed number of Taliban and Haqqani Network fighters in Paktia and Ghazni province.
