The Taliban killed eight civilians and four ISAF soldiers during IED, suicide, and small arms attacks in Kandahar, Helmand, and western Afghanistan. Afghan and Coalition forces detained 10 drug smugglers, and seized and destroyed more than 15 tons of opium during raids in Bahramcha in southern Helmand.
