Abdul Haq al Turkistani, the leader of the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Party, may have been killed in the Feb. 15 airstrike in North Waziristan. The report is unconfirmed.

The Taliban killed eight civilians and four ISAF soldiers during IED, suicide, and small arms attacks in Kandahar, Helmand, and western Afghanistan. Afghan and Coalition forces detained 10 drug smugglers, and seized and destroyed more than 15 tons of opium during raids in Bahramcha in southern Helmand.
Iran
The IAEA director said Iran is “not cooperating” with their investigation. Japan offered to send Iran 20 percent enriched nuclear fuel. The government released three journalists and three opposition members.
Yemen
The military said it killed Ali Saleh al Yafei, a wanted member of the separatist Southern Movement with links to al Qaeda, during a raid in the town of Zinjibar in Abyan province. Yafei’s wife and two children, and two soldiers were also killed. Three of Yafei’s followers were detained.
