The Taliban killed two British soldiers, an American soldier, and a Spanish soldier in separate IED attacks in the South and West. Afghan police killed seven Taliban fighters in Jawzjan province. Coalition and Afghan forces detained a Haqqani Network facilitator and an undisclosed number of Taliban and Haqqani fighters during raids in Kandahar and Khost.
