Ten civilians were killed during shelling and two soldiers were killed in an IED attack in Mogadishu. Fighting between police and the military in Mogadishu resulted in four soldiers killed. Hundreds of Shabaab fighters are deploying to the capital. The African Union denied Shabaab reports that its soldiers were killed in terrorist bombings.
