US and Afghan forces killed 20 Taliban fighters in Farah province and detained a Taliban sub-commander in Logar and a fighter in Kandahar. Five US soldiers were wounded in a suicide attack at a military base in Paktia. An ISAF soldier was killed in an IED attack in southern Afghanistan. ISAF is investigating an incident in Paktia where four civilians were found dead in a compound during a raid that netted eight suspects.
