Coalition aircraft accidentally killed seven policemen in a friendly fire incident in Kunduz; a Taliban commander was also killed in Kunduz. Afghan and Coalition forces detained a Taliban commander and two Haqqani Network sub-commanders, and an undisclosed number of fighters in Helmand, Kandahar, and Khost. The Taliban killed a British soldier and wounded 33 Afghans in attacks in Helmand, Nimroz, and Khost. Twenty-five policemen in Wardak may have defected to the Taliban.
