A suicide bomber killed 10 civilians and two policemen in an attack at a market in Mingora, the main town in Swat. Security forces detained 34 suspected Taliban fighters in Hangu and 25 more in Khyber. Pakistan’s Senate unanimously passed a resolution in support of Aafia Siddiqi, the al Qaeda operative who was convicted in the US of attempting to kill soldiers and FBI agents in Afghanistan.
