Security forces detained nine wanted men in Anbar province, two members of the Naqshabandiya group in Kirkuk, and a female al Qaeda member thought to be involved with suicide attacks in Khalis. Four Iraqis were wounded in an IED attack in Baqubah. Prime minister Maliki may break with the Shia United Iraqi Alliance and form a multi-confessional national alliance.
