Afghan and Coalition forces killed 40 Taliban fighters during a month-long operation in the Ghormach district of Faryab province. One ISAF soldier was killed in an IED attack in southern Afghanistan and two German soldiers were wounded in an IED attack in Kunduz province. The Taliban torched a school in the Balablok district in Farah province.
