US and Afghan troops killed 15 Taliban fighters, wounded 12, and detained one more after their convoy was ambushed in the Arghandab district in Zabul province. US and Afghan forces captured six Haqqani Network fighters in Paktia. Three US and two NATO soldiers were killed during an ambush in eastern Afghanistan.
