The military claimed 65 Taliban fighters and nine security personnel were killed during fighting in Swat, Dir, Buner, and Shangla. Three soldiers and five Taliban fighters were killed in an IED attack and clash in North Waziristan. Four Taliban fighters were killed during fighting in Darra Adam Khel. Nine policemen were wounded by three grenade attacks in Dera Ismail Khan.
